How has being a History graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?
"It expanded my worldview and sparked my passion for global travel/culture. I had a particularly meaningful experience in Dean Wilson's seminar - so much so that he became one of my recommenders for business school (I went on to earn my MBA at Harvard)"
What advice would you give students in Duke's History programs?
"Enjoy the breadth of options this major affords you. The reason I chose History was for the opportunity to study so many different regions of the world. Beyond American history, I took courses on Africa, Europe, Russia, the middle east, and women. I always knew I'd pursue a business career, but that's what my internships (and eventual MBA) were for!
