How has being a History graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?
"The research, problem solving, critical thinking and debating skills I developed as a History major at Duke have helped me nearly every day of my life as an Educator and parent. Several Duke professors challenged me to work harder than I had previous to those courses. This helped me understand how to work hard and make sacrifices in order to achieve success."
What advice would you give students in Duke's History programs?
"Work hard and understand that the demands being places on your by your professors will help develop a work ethic to help you succeed in all areas of life. Enjoy your time at Duke ... it flies by way too fast and the real world is nowhere near as fun."
