How has being a History graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?
"I attended Emory Law after graduating from Duke. The writing and comparative/critical analysis aspects of my history major were incredibly helpful for the work I did in law school and my eventual career as an attorney. Additionally, my love of history has provided countless fun and enriching experiences in my life outside work."
What advice would you give students in Duke's History programs?
"Stretch yourself - take classes beyond your comfort zone. Write, write, write - this skill helps develop critical thinking and will always be something employers value."
