How has being a History graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?
"I continue to have a strong interest in history and get enjoyment out continuing to study, read, learn, etc. I also think the experience studying history at Duke helped my ability to research, to write clearly, to make arguments, and form cohesive thoughts."
What advice would you give students in Duke's History programs?
"I would strongly encourage students to take classes across a range of time periods and events / focus areas. There is so much to learn across the history major and the more diversity of study, the better. I'd also encourage students who are interested in / passionate about history to study it - there are numerous opportunities professionally after studying history."
