How has being a History graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?
"I am thankful to my mentors and advisers for their availability and their commitment to my graduate training. Especially now when I meet other colleagues and we discuss our graduate experience, I see how fortunate I was to have had that type of dedication from my advisers and mentors. Their high expectations, which at the time were overwhelming, prepared me to be competitive and confident, and I am eternally grateful."
What advice would you give students in Duke's History programs?
"I would advise students to be intentional about developing their professional skills in all areas so that, by the time they complete their degree, they are competitive applicants in a variety of careers and paths."
