How has being a History graduate from Duke helped shape your professional success?
"My time at Duke didn't directly lead to my current occupation, but it shaped me as a person beyond measure. Being around people who could challenge me helped me to be smarter, more critical, and able to take on more perspectives."
What advice would you give students in History?
"Take classes with as many different professors as possible. Each one has something different to teach you, a different perspective to take on, a different way to approach the discipline. The material isn't nearly as important as the skills you'll learn."
