Join us on Thursday, October 29th at 6:00 PM in East Duke 209 for a public discussion with Dr. Gayle Rubin (University of Michigan), a pioneering theorist and activist in feminist, lesbian and gay, queer, and sexuality studies since the 1970s. Rubin rose to prominence with the publication of "The Traffic in Women" (1975) and authored a foundational text in queer theory, "Thinking Sex" (1984).
This event will feature a conversation between Dr. Rubin and Dr. Robyn Wiegman (Duke University). A reception will follow.
