Professor Stern and Professor Triplett’s project, “The Sandcastle Workflow: A Malleable System for Visualizing Pre-Modern Maps and Views,” explores methods for understanding premodern cartography using 2D and 3D visualization and mapping techniques. Stern and Triplett have also been awarded Data+ (summer 2020) and Bass Connections (2020-2021) project team grants from Duke for related work.
