2013 Major: History and Psychology

How has being a History graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"Confidence in my writing, speaking and critical thinking skills. Going into investment banking post college was the proof that I could learn job specific skills without the undergrad training. Be confident in yourself..but, also...don't do investment banking. It is soul sucking."

What advice would you give students in Duke's History programs? 

"Think broader than Management Consulting, Law School and Investment Banking. There are so many more jobs in the world- way more than visit Duke."
