Charles Troup is a third-year Ph.D. student in Modern European History at Yale University. He is currently preoccupied with the problem of how and why concepts and practices from the world of business and commerce migrated into new domains of political and intellectual life, in modern Britain in particular. More broadly speaking,he is interested in European political and intellectual history, the history of political thought and ideologies, and in neoliberalism.
