Christopher Cameron is a Professor of History at UNC-Charlotte, where he focuses on African American Religious and Intellectual History. He received his Ph.D. from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2010, and has published widely, including two books (the most recent is Black Freethinkers: A History of African American Secularism (Northwestern University Press, 2019). He is also the founding president of the African American Intellectual History Society.
