Julia Rudolph is a Professor of History at North Carolina State University. Her field of study is early modern Europe; within that field she has particular interests in legal history, gender history, and intellectual history in eighteenth-century Britain and its empire. She received her B.A. in Classics and Renaissance Studies from Brown University, and Ph.D. in History from Columbia University. Her most recent book is Common Law and Enlightenment in England 1689-c.1750 (Woodbridge: Boydell & Brewer, 2013).
