Guidelines for Speaker Funding Proposals

  1. Those who wish to propose speakers or events should submit requests via this online form. Those requests should include a brief (no more than one paragraph) description of the event and the budget. 
  2. The committee will review requests on a rolling basis and split its funding equally between Fall and Spring semesters.
  3. Each academic year, the committee will aim to allocate $200-500 per approved event, though amounts may vary based on event significance, budget, and other factors. Events should clearly relate to historical issues, with preference given to proposals endorsed by a history department member. 
  4. The chair of the committee may request additional information if needed.
