Class of 2025
Major in History; Minors in Spanish and English

I am currently a third-year majoring in History with a concentration in Human Rights and Social Movements. At Duke, I am an Embedded Writing Consultant with the TWP Writing Studio. I also work for the Duke Institutional History Project, conducting research on the university’s first janitors – a project that has fostered my interest in historical research and that has allowed me to learn more about Duke’s own history and to work beside history professors. Off campus, I volunteer as a Spanish tutor for elementary and middle schoolers with the Students to Scholars Program. This summer, I interned with World Relief, advocating for immigrant and refugee rights and working with Reception and Placement to give hands-on support to newly arrived refugees in the resettlement process. In addition to my passion for history, I also love literature and poetry and am the co-founder and president of the Poetea Club at Duke.

Favorite Class: History 260D: Magic, Religion, and Science Since 1400 AD has been my favorite class at Duke, not only because Professor Robisheaux is an amazing teacher, but also because it gave me a new perspective on fascinating subjects that I previously knew little about.
